![]() ![]() They didnt have a continental breakfast but I definitely would recommend Best Western over this one. They were booked this time which is how we ended up here. Last time we were in town we stayed at the Best Western, about three hotels down from this one, and for the same price we got a way better room beautiful with a real balcony and more amenities. I mentioned on our way out one day of our stay that we needed service in our room, they did leave fresh towels but did not replace the coffee or wipe anything down or do any other kind of cleaning. And we were very careful to wipe our feet outside of the hotel room too. I get that it's probably much easier to keep clean for the hotel, however it was extremely difficult to keep the sand from scooting across the hardwood and sticking to feet and making its way into the beds. There were hardwood floors in the hotel rooms rather than carpet. Did they want people doing water all the way back to their room? Seems that would be a safety hazard lol. Every other hotel I've ever stayed at it's fine for people who are dripping wet out of the pool to wrap up in a towel and take it back to the room and leave it with the rest of the towels when you go. She said the pool towels had to stay in the pool area. However one of the staff got upset with my daughter for trying to wrap up in a pool towel to walk back to the room. I would say it was a plus because its indoors so available year round. The pool and hot tub and sauna area were okay and my kids enjoyed that quite frequently during our visit. ![]() The rooms do have mini fridges, so you can bring your own protein options. Just fyi for diabetics, hypoglycemics, or others who can't do carb heavy for whatever reason. Would be nice to at least have hard boiled eggs maybe if they didnt want to bother with hot stuff. The advertised breakfast is okay if you don't mind all carbs and no protein. So if you're going to stay there in hopes of a balcony with a view, you're better off saving your money and just going with a regular view room. And as you can see in the picture it was actually pretty gross and in need of paint. We were able to wedge one next to the door facing sideways kind of but it definitely was not a proper balcony. Boy was I disappointed! Although the picture on the website looks like they're actual balconies where you can go sit and enjoy the view, the reality is you can't even fit a chair out on them facing forward. I paid $30 extra a night to have a balcony. I feel there's definitely some false advertising going on. Even with the windows open, I still like to be as cold as possible when I sleep and the fans are very pleasant and helpful.Stayed 2 nights in a deluxe ocean front room. Everything also felt covid safe for those wondering! Also I greatly appreciate that they have fans in the rooms. The front desk staff has also been wonderful on both visits. But truly these are among the most comfortable hotel beds I’ve ever had. But I also sleep on a 10 year old twin size mattress with springs impaling my back, so most things are comfortable. The bed is also really really comfortable. The rooms have kind of an old feel to them, but more in a charming way that a bad way. More impressively, I noticed the people next to me during my October stay had a dog, because I arrived back to the hotel at the same time as them and I never heard any noise from them or the dog. Even with my window open and neighbors next to me, I heard barely anything each stay. The view of the ocean from the bedroom is wonderful. My stays in both June and October were great! I had great rooms both times, everything was clean and quiet. I only came out twice this year due to limiting travel because of covid. I opted to try the Seashore Inn since it’s right on the beach and very close to my two favorite Seaside places, Seastar Gelato and Pizza Harbor. I work for Hilton and often used to stay at the Hampton Inn over in Astoria, however, this summer I decided to stay in Seaside rather than make the 15 minute trek to and from Seaside each day of my stay. It’s a great getaway and probably my favorite place in the world. I come out to Seaside about 3-4 times every summer from the Seattle area. ![]()
